Our birds depend on us for their safety and well-being.? When an emergency happens, it is too late to look for the necessary supplies.? The following information will help us be prepared for an emergency.
If you need to evacuate, TAKE YOUR BIRD WITH YOU!? Have a prearranged safe place to bring your feathered companion.? Ahead of time, ask friends and relatives who live in different areas if they would be willing to help out in an emergency.? Contact local hotels and motels to check on their pet policies.
Transport your bird in a safe carrier.? Have enough carriers for all your birds (don?t forget your other pets too).? Have a secure travel cage available, as well as a towel or blanket to cover the bird if it is stressed or cold.? Store your

emergency kit next to the carrier.
