I didn't know where to put this, so this category seemed logical.

This is a great site with lots of pictures describing normal bird behaviors. It was linked from one of my behavior books:

I know, I didn't realize if you stroke their rear end or hind quarter or back it can be mistaken as a breeeding behavior....mmmm

I suppose it makes sense, think about how they mate.... I have stopped doing this type of petting with Pistachio, I have actually noticed her change her thoughts on me being the only one that she wants to hang out with. For a minute she was getting upset with Jimmy. I stopped petting her this way and she now loves Jimmy again!
