Ok so here are some updated pics of Pistachio..... Enjoy. As I was loading these pics, she took a bath on top of B&M's case.... They ran her off the play gym so it was kinda like she was saying  nana I can still do what I want! LOL

Those are soo cute.  All snuggly.  I love the pics.  Once she realizes she is bigger than they are, just look out then!

Well, this morning I realized that Pistachio is making noises like the microwave buttons. It was so cute, She beeped for quite sometime and I finally noticed. Once I noticed she went into a screaching session. I laughed so hard. It was like she was saying, (geez thanks for finally noticing me this morning, I mean those darn babies have tooo much of your attention)

I have the babies weaning cage on top of Pistachio's cage (probably not the best place, but I can't have them in the bird room with mom and dad or they will cry for them) So anyway, at night when I let pistachio out the first thing she does is climb to the top of the cage and start squawking at the babies. She scares them half to death. Then after I have her area on the table set I come and get her (not more than 1 minute) and tell her to be nice she gets quiet and I take her off her throne! LOL

I can't get over her need to be the center of attention. But I love that she loves being with us. She also welcomed a new stranger into her world, she stepped up for them, gave kisses and laughed for them. IT was great. She is such a sweet bird!

Well, my sweet little baby is jealous. She is jealous of the time I am spending exercising B&M, the time I take feeding the babies and all of this is shared. She is fine when she has to share with the dogs but sharing with other birds is just down right nasty she thinks. LOL It will soon pass and she will learn that she survived.

That is way to funny!  I bet she would love to have a hissy fit!  I bet she does talk, but since you work, she is withholding it from you.  Zena, the little bugger is talking now, but only because she thought I was gone and I was in the kitchen.  LOL She is such a brat.  She looks like she wants to bite my fingers off, but never does.  She still is hiking her butt in the air for ZaZu.  The little Hussy!

Ok, so it has been a while since I have posted about Pistachio. So here are a few updates.

She is now trying to talk up a storm. She does her best talking on the weekend when she has full days out of her cage and full days interaction with her humans.

She says "doin'" Like What cha Doing but all she can say is the "doin' part.
She screams YUM YUM when I am cooking/or doing anything in the kitchen
She says SWEETWATER in two different tones.
She says LILY, KILRAINE all though I can't distiguish between the two yet.
She gives kisses by making a kissy noise when ever she wants something or if you talk to her right in her face.

She loves to hang out on her new cage that has been turned into a play fort on the outside. She is all over that thing. She plays more now then ever. I think she is finally growing out of that young Quaker stage.
She will try any type of food that I offer her and at night if we are eating a snack while watching tv she MUST come over and investigate.

Both my hubby and I adore her and everyone that meets her just loves her. It is great!

It is great how they start to learn by leaps and bounds.

Pistachio is now very clearly saying "What Cha Doin'" How cute is that? She says doin' just like I do with a inflection change at the end of the word.

She is starting to get nippy with Jimmy when he trys to get her off her cage, but if I tell him to just be Matter of Fact with her then she submits. She loves him away from her cage though.

And she YELLLS at the dogs if they get to close and she is on her play gym. it is quite funny because they listen!

I love her, I love her, I love her!

She is spending about 5 hours in the evening out of her cage and sharing all our evening meals with us. So far she just pics out the things that are high in carbs. LOL Just like her momma!

Well, just thought I would share!

Pistachio has been going through a major molt the last two months. She has almost all her flight wings back in and she has been testing them. I don't think she got much flight time as a baby so this is a scary and slow process for her.

She will do little flights around the room, and then clumsely (sp?) land on her cage, or one of two play pens. It really makes me laugh  LOL but I think it is so cute and I am very proud of her. I want to give her several months to have her flight wings and see what she does with it.

She is a smart girl, if the dogs are inside, she tends to stay on her cage and play areas. This is smart I think. She is exploring more because I think she has settled in.

She is not much of a noise maker, she really only makes noise when there is something to be concerned about or when she wants something. Ok, or when the music is playing. For the most part she is just content to hang out on her play areas and have a good time entertaining herself.

Yesterday I was eating a fruit loop (no milk) and she flew over and stole it from me. Well, I know now I can get some of those fruit loops that don't have the sugar on them for her. She already loves the wheat puffed cereal without sugar.

Yea! Another treat, now maybe I can teach her some things.

Ok long post but it has been awhile since there was an update.

That is what my fischers are doing.  Learning how to fly.  She sounds so cute.  I have noticed that my Achilles, the one I adopted has taught the others how to scream.  But that is ok.  I can't wait to see some pics.  :)
